In mid 2011 we assisted a client with a review of their technology solutions and related commercial construct. As a consequence the client was able to enter a procurement phase where the commercial licensing agreement could leverage a known scale and benefit profile, effectively placing the value of customer growth back with the client (relative to cost growth).
We are often asked to provide an independent review of clients technology, vendor relationship or commercial models. Our approach is to ensure we capture the true business needs and sense of real value that any specific application is truly providing. This baseline quickly clarifies the acceptable investment and ideal commercial models that should be pursued. Of course technology decisions also become more transparent as a complete solution roadmap begins to crystallise from the business needs.
